Congratulations to Lorie and Bob Michaels for their big win with Sweet Tapper yesterday in the $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes race.
We've known Lorie and Bob for well over a decade. They bred our first big stakes winner, and we were lucky enough to purchase The KB KId from them all the way back in 2005.
They are two of the nicest people we have met in racing, and they have outstanding farms and facilities in Kentucky. They even entertained us at their beautiful home after we tore up part of their front yard when we got a little stuck in the wet spring ground. (Actually Rick O. was driving the trailer at that time. Haha.)
There are no two more consistent and truly committed racing and breeding horse people in all of Minnesota. We loved seeing Lorie and Bob earn this well deserved big stakes win.
